Xavier Venn A. Asuncion is an Assistant Professor at the University of the Philippines-National College of Public Administration (UP-NCPAG). He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration from UP-NCPAG and Master’s degree in Urban Management and Development with a specialization in Urban Environment, Sustainability, and Climate Change from the Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies at Erasmus University Rotterdam (IHS-EUR) in The Netherlands. Prior to being an Assistant Professor, he worked as a Research Assistant for a year and as a University Researcher for over five years at the Center for Local and Regional Governance (CLRG), a constituent unit of UP-NCPAG. His research focuses mostly on local governance, e-governance, and the institutional aspects of local Disaster Risk Reduction-Climate Change Adaptation (DRR-CCA), encompassing areas such as vulnerability assessment, climate finance, and risk communication.
