The National College of Public Administration and Governance Library (NCPAG LIB), formerly known as the Institute of Public Administration Library, was established in 1952.
NCPAG Library is the leading UP unit library in the field of public administration providing bibliographic and information support to the teaching, research, and extension functions of the College. The library aims to be a modern resource hub and a center of excellence in public administration and governance.
As a partner of the College, the library’s mission is to offer access to information resources aligned with the curriculum, research, and extension programs. It strives to provide efficient information services using new technologies.
NCPAG Library focuses on selecting, acquiring, organizing, and preserving information resources. It trains its competent staff, maintains up-to-date technology, and creates an inviting environment for study and research.
It envisions to be a state-of-the-art resource hub to the NCPAG and the nation as well, being the center of excellence in public administration and governance.
As partner of the College in its three-fold function of teaching, research and extension services, the NCPAG Library’s mission is to provide:
(a) the best possible access to information resources in support of its evolving curriculum, research thrusts and extension programs; and
(b) the best possible information services through the use of the new information and communication technologies (ICTs) as applied in libraries.
Photocopying Services. On-site photocopying services will be available for library users.
Reference & Research Assistance. The library has approachable and helpful staff to assist users in utilizing library resources.
Library Orientation. Orientation sessions are conducted at the beginning of each semester in collaboration with faculty members to enhance information literacy.
Discussion Room Access. The discussion rooms will be available for use by library patrons until further notice.
