The Strategic Leadership Course for Local Legislators is a five (5) day program that aims to build on the role of local sanggunian members as leaders in policymaking, in consideration of their key roles in the evolving LGU policy environment.
The course includes themes on strategic leadership that can help Sanggunian members bring about impactful legislation and programs to their communities, such as increasing sensitivity of perception of problems or felt needs; more long-term perspectives on improvement of processes; reorienting crisis management towards a more strategic perspective and enabling higher buy-in or compliance to policy by both implementors and citizens alike.
This course will be considered as a regular course offering of the CLRG as part of its series of local legislative education programs primarily, but not limited to members of the Sangguniang panlalawigan, panlungsod, and bayan, and their legislative staff.
Participant Details: This course is primarily intended for local government officials, former local government officials or private individuals who have completed the following courses under CLRG’s ladderized Local Legislative Program.
