U.P. Public Lectures (Human Development and Poverty Reduction)

PNOY’s battlecry in 2010 “kung walang kurap, walang mahirap” has catapulted him to presidency. After six years in office, the time has come for the people to determine how Aquino’s “tuwid na daan” made impact on the lives of the poor. Join us as we listen to the self and alternative assessments of NAPC and DOH on 19 April (Tues), and DAR and DSWD on 21 April (Thurs), 1-5pm at the NCPAG Assembly Hall.

Conceptualized in 1989 by then University of the Philippines President Jose V. Abueva, the U.P. Public Lectures on the Philippine Presidency and Administration provides a platform in which the incumbent political leadership can present publicly a self-assessment of its own government and administration during its term and for the members of the academe, civil society, business and media to give their alternative assessments of its accomplishments.
