Gerard Martin C. Suarez was used to be a researcher for the Center for Local and Regional Governance, currently focusing on national mandate devolution, legislative communication, intergovernmental coordination, and participatory civic responses within a local governance context and a low-income democratic framework. He is also a PhD Media Studies student at the College of Mass Communication at the University of the Philippines, Diliman. His current research interrogates the intersecting concepts of political elites, influence operation practices and media practitioner responses to disinformation, and civilian-led participation within the Philippine context.
