Doctor of Public Administration (DPA)

The Doctor of Public Administration (DPA) program envisions the graduates to become highly competent public administration academics and researchers, public servants and consultants in state and non-state institutions, and public service-oriented partners in CSOs and private sector.

  1. Must be a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree holder.
  2. Must have one (1) year of work experience.
  3. Must submit the following documents:
    1. Duly accomplished Application Form (link).
    2. Two (2) Recommendation Forms duly filled out by individuals who are in the best position to assess the applicant’s potential for graduate work (link).
    3. Three (3) copies of passport-size pictures.
    4. Letter of Application.
    5. Official Transcript of Records (original and photocopy) (see Application Process for reference).
    6. PSA Birth Certificate (original and photocopy).
    7. PSA Marriage Certificate (for married female applicants only – original and photocopy).
    8. Copy of Thesis or Research Work.
    9. Research Proposal.
    10. TOEFL (for Foreign Nationals only).
    11. Honorable Dismissal/Certificate of Transfer Credential (upon admission).
  4. Payment of application and processing fee (30.00 USD – for Foreign Nationals; PHP 500.00 – for Filipinos).
  5. Must come on the date of the scheduled interview.

How to apply for Doctor of Public Administration?

  1. Download Application and Recommendation Forms on our website.
  2. Submit the completed Application Form and other required documents to the Office of the College Secretary / Center for Public Administration and Governance Education (CPAGE), RM 103 NCPAG Bldg. Incomplete requirements will not be accepted.
  3. Pay the application fee of PHP 500.00 for local applicants and USD 30.00 for Foreign applicants. Only on-site payment is accepted.

What is considered an official transcript?

  1. An official transcript of records should bear an imprinted school dry seal and signature of the Registrar / Director in ink, with or without the following remarks:
    1. Copy for the University of the Philippines
    2. Use for Enrollment Purposes only
    3. For Further Studies
    4. For General Purposes
    5. For Reference and Record Purposes
    6. 907 For Scholarship
    7. Granted Honorable Dismissal
    8. Commission Granted Transfer Credential
    9. Issued / Granted Upon Request
    10. Issued For Studies Abroad
    11. Official Transcript of Records for your Exclusive School’s Copy
    12. Valid for Scholarship Abroad
    13. Issued fro Purposes of PD
    14. For Board Examination
    15. Issued for Professional Regulation
    16. Issued DECS (for educational purposes)
    17. Issued for Application Purposes (admission)
    18. Genuine signature and college seal
    19. Official Transcript of Records
  2. Transcripts with the following remarks are not acceptable:
    1. A True Copy of Records
    2. Schools Certified Xerox Copy of the Original

  3. Graduates from private colleges and universities must submit transcript of records stating the degree obtained, date of graduation and the Special Order (S.O.) number issued by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED)
  4. Graduates of and transfer students from autonomous units of UP (i.e. UPV, UPLB, UPMla) enrolling in U.P. Diliman must submit their official transcript of records (not true copy of grades) from their respective units with the remarks Cleared as [date] ofor Granted Permit to Transfer.
