Good news for those participating in the NCPAG 65th anniversary International Conference.
The City of Mandaluyong has agreed to host a welcome dinner for the conference delegates on 23 August 2017.
Dean Maria Fe Villamejor-Mendoza together with Conference Secretary General Prof. Henry Basilio met with Hon. Mayor Carmelita Abalos yesterday to discuss the partnership for the Conference.
“The City of Mandaluyong has been a long-time partner of the College,” said Mendoza. “The learning & innovation in local governance have been two-way and we have been enhancing our perspectives & competencies, both ways,” she added.
To be held on 22-25 August 2017 in Manila, the Conference with the theme Public Administration in Changing Times: New Norms and Sustainable Reforms aims to bring together scholars, researchers, and practitioners of Public Administration (PA) and other related fields in a collective analysis of new norms and sustainable reforms that challenge the performance of governments, public institutions and their governance partners all over the world.
Some 150 public administration scholars and practitioners from around the country and the world are expected to attend the conference.
The Conference welcome dinner will also serve as a venue for delegates to learn about the governance practices in Mandaluyong, which earned for the city citations and awards from the United Nations, the UNICEF, Galing Pook Foundation and the Department of the Interior and Local Government, among others.
