The UPNCPAG Library staff is opening on Thursday, 16 February 2017, another edition of its Library Exhibit Series featuring Dr. Jose V. Abueva.
Began in 2017, “the Library Exhibit is designed to pay tribute to the intellectual pillars of NCPAG,” said NCPAG Head Librarian Mrs. Modesta Omega. Omega added that “it is also a venue for dissemination and sharing of their writings and publications.”
The ribbon cutting of the exhibit will be at 2:00pm at the NCPAG Library. Dr. Abueva, or JVA to his colleagues in the university, will be attending the event to give a short talk.
JVA is Professor Emeritus of Political Science & Public Administration and was the President of the University of the Philippines System from 1987 to 1993. He also served as Secretary of the Philippine Constitutional Convention of 1971; chairman of the Legislative-Executive Military Bases Council from 1989 to 1990; and chairperson of the Consultative Constitutional Commission during the presidency of Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo in 2005.
Abueva earned his Master of Public Administration and PhD in Political Science degrees from the University of Michigan and his AB Arts degree from UP. Governance (NCPAG).
