The University of the Philippines-National College of Public Administration and Governance (UP-NCPAG) cordially invites the public to the forum “Federalism: A tool for National Transformation?” to be held on August 12, 2016, 2pm, at the NCPAG Assembly Hall.
Invited resources persons and discussants are former Senator Aquilino Pimentel, Jr., Prof. Temario Rivera of UP’s Department of Political Science and Center for People Empowerment in Governance (CENPEG), Dean Ronald Mendoza of the Ateneo School of Government, and Dr. Paul Hutchcroft, Lead Governance Specialist of the Australian Embassy in Manila.
The event is the inaugural leg of the NCPAG@65 Policy Forum Series, which is one of the activities to be conducted on the lead up to and during NCPAG’s 65th anniversary year in 2017.
“The NCPAG@65 Policy Forum Series is dedicated to discussing and fleshing out pressing and important policy and governance issues and solutions concerning the Filipino nation,” explained NCPAG’s Dean Maria Fe Villamejor-Mendoza.
Mendoza added that “the succeeding forums will focus on the topic of human rights, charter change, peace and security, and foreign relations and the West Philippine Sea.”
The NCPAG@65 Policy Forum 1 is being co-organized with the Center for Local and Regional Governance (CLRG) of NCPAG and the Pimentel Institute for Local Governance, with support from the Hans Seidel Foundation and Batang Transformers Movement.
