NCPAG’s Center for Leadership, Citizenship and Democracy (CLCD) kicked off its Election Series Project with the voters’ education forum entitled #chooseright: Empowering Voters for Elections 2016.
The forum, which was held on October 6, 2015 at the NCPAG Assembly Hall, is the first in a series of activities that aims to contribute in facilitating discourse and analyses on national issues affecting the 2016 election and help build awareness and capacity for making informed choices among the electorate, specially the first time voters and the youth.
Experts who shared their views and insights on the elections include NCPAG Dean Maria Fe Villamejor-Mendoza who spoke about the significance of the 2016 elections, Mr. Ramon Casiple of the Institute for Political and Electoral Reform who discussed practices and patterns of the Filipino vote, and Dr. Grace Jamon of the UP Department of Political Science who presented criteria that can guide voters in choosing the country’s leaders.
