Briones to talk about reforms in DepEd in NCPAG lecture

Department of Education (DepEd) Secretary Leonor M. Briones will be delivering a lecture “Administrative Reforms in the Department of Education” on 25 April 2017, 1pm at the NCPAG Case Room.

Briones’ lecture is the first offering of the NCPAG Pillars Lecture Series (PLS), which is being held in 2017 as part of NCPAG’s 65th anniversary celebration.

Briones who joined the NCPAG as a research assistant in 1962 is valued as a pillar of the College for having dedicated herself to a remarkable academic career and civil society engagement.  She was NCPAG’s fiscal administration expert until her retirement in 2010.

As testament to her exemplary work as scholar, she was appointed Professor Emeritus in Public Administration by the UP Board of Regents in 2013.
