In anticipation of an August opening of classes for the first semester of Academic Year 2014-2015, the University of the Philippines Diliman will be opening classes for a special Mid Year Term this coming June.

UP President Alfredo Pascual approved the special term on May 13, 2014, applying to all units except the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Science in Finance programs of the Cesar E.A. Virata School of Business, the Master of Management program of UP Diliman Extension Program in Pampanga (UPDEPP) and Olongapo (UPDEPO), and the Spring-ASIA program of the School of Urban & Regional Planning (SURP).

According to the UP Diliman Academic Calendar, the Mid Year Term will run from June 4 (Wednesday) until July 8 (Tuesday) with June 20 designated as the midterm and July 10 and 11 as dates for final examinations.

Three-unit classes will be meeting for two hours daily, Monday to Friday, similar to the summer academic term.

The registration period will be on June 2 and 3 (Monday and Tuesday). –Charlie Rivas Jr.
