CPED turns 50

The Center for Policy and Executive Development (CPED) is celebrating its 50th year in 2018.

Regarded as the policy and development arm of the National College of Public Administration and Governance (NCPAG), the Center has lined up  activities in line with its motto “making policies and institutions work for the people.”

The Center will be conducting a Policy Lecture Series throughout the year. Every month starting April, a former Director or staff and a current technical staff of the Center will be delivering a lecture on topics such as climate change, terrorism, and disaster. In connectin with this, the Center hopes to have the speakers’ respective papers published in a special issue of Philippine Journal of Public Administration (PJPA) in 2018 and 2019.

CPED will also spearhead the assessment of the second year of the Duterte Administration in July. Faculty members of NCPAG will be presenting their assessments based on the administration’s Zero Plus 10-Point Socio-Economic Agenda.

Aside from the Policy Lecture Series and the Assessment, the Center will continue to conduct its regular training programs. Among these are the training programs on project development and management and policy formulation and analysis.

The Center will, furthermore, be adding new training programs to its roster of offerings. These include Qualitative Research Methodology, Public Service Continuity Planning, and Corporate Governance.

CPED is grateful for the support and assistance that the whole NCPAG community has given in the celebration of its Golden Year. The Center looks forward to celebrating this year with all who are part of its success- both in the past and in the years to come.
