As part of its 65th anniversary celebration in 2017, NCPAG is bringing back the Guest Lecture Series featuring luminaries and experts who have made significant contributions in the advancement of the study and practice of Public Administration in the Philippines and abroad.
Started in 2014 and spearheaded by the Center for Public Administration and Governance education (CPAGE), the Lecture Series aims to strengthen the College’s tradition of scholarship and intellectual praxis through the percolation and discussion of bright ideas on burning issues, trends and developments in Public Administration and Governance.
Two lectures will be held in March 2017.
“American Federalism Revisited: Sorting out the Grain from the Chaff” by Dr. Benjamin Muego will be on March 14, 2017, 1pm at the NCPAG Case Room. Dr. Muego is a former Professor of Political Science at Bowling Green State University in the United States and currently Professorial Lecturer in International Law, Comparative Foreign Policy, Comparative Government and International Organization in the School of Diplomacy and Governance of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde.
Dr. Muego’s Lecture will be followed by Dr. Sida Sonsri’s “Comparative Public Administration: Thailand and the Philippines” on March 21, 2017, 2pm, also at the NCPAG Case Room. Dr. Sonsri is Dean and Associate Professor of the College of Politics and Governance of Mahasarakham University in Thailand.
